I think a SP map would take me about 8 years to do. My speed of mapping has greatly increased as well as accuracy since I have started but I never did a SP map before and scripting alone would take forever(thats me though). Personally I hate SP maps, I hardly play the SP for moh, boring...

I think the cave system is an interesting idea. Im really up for that one. SP map I dont think I would participate in.

Yeah, BCDA will bring in 5 more SP maps!

Ok, In going with the underground thing here is an criteria I thought up that you are free to use

- Map Description: A natural cave system turned into a military base. Should be Nazi, or if desired, Soviet, through custom textures.

- Gameplay: Should be a TDM or DM map, with balanced and smooth play.

- Mapping Requirements:
- Most gameplay should be directed underground.
- should contain...
Err... Its up to you! but make it fun!

well, i'm just the opposite of you echo, i love sp. i got the game at basically the release date and played sp for two years. until about a month ago when i decided to try mp....
i've only made sp maps, sad thing is, since i've never cared for mp, i dunno how to make mp maps. my ideas being to just copy/paste some other script onto mine and make a map.. not nearly as much fun to playtest i assure you. besides, doing just mp kills all scripting knowledge. betcha anything jv_map does sp maps... :wink:

and for those mp'ers out there, 3 new obj maps! (no, BCDA is going to have a POINT not going to be FFA or TDM)

It took you 2 years to beat the SP... :shock: , lol just joking im sure it didnt. I see what you mean, see I pretty much just play multiplayer...Ive played many moh games includeing ones on playstation, xbox, etc, and the game play is for the most part the same in all of them...Hopefully this will be changed in MOHPA. You are right about the scripting though, there is alot more in SP...Im new to the scripting and mapping but I find mapping a bit easier than scripting. I just guess it depends on what you enjoy doing...

MP is just so much more random in game play...there are players of all skills and you never know what they are going to do...and the same maps dont need to be played all the time...thanks to many here at .map and others in the mapping community. It seems SP maps arent made/ released as often as mp maps.

When is the next competition going to begin...and have we decided on what we will be doing??? I still like the cavern idea.
