acid bath? smoke coming off them? u didn't see too many bad movies, did u?
errrm, no, I was thinking of some gurgling sounds and turning off the red flashes like it's done in other FPS's where u can dive but get out of air after a while...
the self thing i have managed to do, although I decided to let the elevator doors say goodbye, but I think I rather prefer it without them.
I will now try to add another mean machinery, so there's more to come

okay. the new version...
now u almost can't survive even when being alone
but i'd need someone (rather somefour) who could give it a little lan-test and tell me what to do with it next.

lol I fell and a parachute came out, still have WTC in main, floated to bottom of sky box
When I respawned i got on a elevator and it was going real fast the door would open for about 1 sec.
maybe make it to where the obj is to get to the top pull a lever then flood everyone else

mmm, i was thinking of one or more control room(s), too, to control the flood.
The elevators wait for 2 sec. now and don't have doors anymore, so they ought to be easier to enter.
The skybox floor got a volumedamage, so even with a parachute, u're dead
Then I did change the chance of meeting one of the blocks in action. Now, each floor higher doubles the chance, so the top floor is the most dangerous but wont be flooded.
Will think about the control rooms...

The control room with the valve to flood the lower floors is made.
The block rooms got a red light to warn players before they push em down. Dunno whether that'll spoil the surprise
In my eyes it's ... errm ... done. But I have not yet had a chance to play it in mp, so I can't say whether it's any fun at all or whether some timing things must be changed.
Many will say (some did already) that this is a really strange kind of map. Well, it's neither a village in Southern France nor a snowy bunker complex, but haven't we got some of those already? Give it a try in a FFA and give me ur feedback! Thnx.
