The PC version of MOHAA will create a default min file if one does not exist, so the game is happy. The Mac executable will not, so it won't start.

obviously, i wanted to know why the .min file is even really needed, why cant Macs do without? as i stated, i thought it was just data for the loading bar.

Well, it is as it is. Maybe the engine is looking for the min file during startup and crashes if it doesn't find it. Whatever, put it in ur pk3 and things are fine

If u really wanted to know, you will have to write to EA, maybe they can tell u the reason

yes, it has 3.
and to answer your question wako, what i mean by "does not work," is that when people look in their maplist on MOH:AA console they do not see it. And when i tried 2 load the map, the player that i gave the map to couldnt get into the server even though he had the pk3 in his main.
wacko wrote:this last map, well it does work fine here. what is "does not work"?

does that mean it worked for you?

yes, it worked: i foun the map in the list, selected it, launched it and walked around.
if ur friends dont see it, they either dont start a FFA or TDM game or didnt put the pk3 file where it belongs: in mohaa/main just where the stock pk3 files are.
Were u able to play a LAN DM match with ur friends in a stock map?
Btw, u put some files in ur pk3 that arent neccessary: u dont need the vis, prt and bak file. just bsp, min and the scr files.

As i have two PCs here, I could even start a server on one PC and join the game on the other.
But u seem to have set only 1 info_deathmatch startpoint? Because the second player spawned on top of the 1st

Put atleast one DM spawnpoint in each corner of ur map...
