Bjarne BZR wrote:Hmm... just to mine for possible errors: Are you using a bottom fexture? And if so: is it correct?
Bjarne,
Look, i use the tutorial quoted in this topic.
Like result it generate 6 images (4 sides , 1 top and 1 bottom).
The bottom image works fine, my unique problem really is that (top texture).
If you try your result is equal to me (a error in top texture).
I try changing many values of CAMH, CAMP, CAMB but the result is always bugged...

Hmmm... well, I feel a bit guilty here as I wrote the tutorial. I'll follow my own tutorial tonight (in about 10 hours) and see what happens, then it will be a lot easier to help you I think.

Currently doing a render and noticed one thing I forgot to mention in the tut ( does not solv your problem, but anyway) : you must place the camera at a location yourself. The default cam pos is at the edge of the lanscape ( if you are rendering one ) so the edge of the lanscape will be seen.
So just klick where you want the camera before rendering.
Results coming in next post ( I hope ).

Nope, if you follow the tutorial, scripts and all as is: you get a fine skybox. All textures turned correctly.
That script is more or less the complete reason I made the tutorial. Because most of the work was to figure out how to render and how to place the textures.
So try again, and follow the tutorial to the letter.

I'm sure it works with more than one script, it all depends on where the Cam starts and how you name the images. When I follow that tut the UP image is always turned wrong

. I believe you when you say it works fine though.
(For testing I like to use
Skypaint, a nice little tool to view the skybox 'live' without having to start the game.)

Any ide how it can differ between 2 computers? The script uses absolute world related angles ( dosen't it? ) from the camera location, so I just dont't understand how it can differ... especially since the tut also has a file renaming script, removing the error possibilities at that point as well...
I'd like to make the tutorial working for everyone, I just have no clue as to what the difference is

SkyPaint dont its a specific tool for use to creation sky.
Ok ok, is this the fuction of it, and it work fine, but terragen is very very better !!!!
And number of tutorials and examples for terragen is larger.
Bjarne, if i send my tgw file, please you verify if the error exist in your version of a simple compiled map ???

I send a message in your e-mail (and a copy to Pantera) with the Terragen World File (*.tgw).
You see the result in MOHAA ???

Yes I have tested your .tgw file and the first thing I noticed was the wrong dimensions. You have your "Image Size" set to 640x480. As I wrote in my email, you will have to set it to square dimensions like 256x256 or 512x512 etc.
And another thing, Bjarne my man, I tested your tut again and there's nothing wrong with it.

My bad, but I'd swear I remember having some problems with the renaming part. (It was probably very late that night!)
So mcunha, change the Image Size in your .tgw
Side note:
mcunha98 wrote:Bjarne, if i send my tgw file, please you verify if the error exist in your version of a simple compiled map ???
Now this is why I gave that link to SkyPaint, with that program you don't need to start Mohaa itself again and again just to see if the sky is correct. Just open your sky with it and you can preview it without starting the game.
