Hey penguin-boy, M$ is not nessesarily by default evil ( just pretty likely ).

The Active desktop paradigm was introduced at a time when the computers were busy enough writing the desktop itself... That is why I personally shrug when I hear the word.

But today some active stuff would very probably not kill you if you have the CPU cycles to spare.

Hog's making friends i see :P

I still dont see what's so bad about MS, i mean, if you need to mix leetspeek in with a title, and you hate it, what does that tell me? (M$ as opposed to MS)
Linux is just as vulnerable. i'd very much like to copy an article from PopSci i read about the cracker games people play on Linux, trust me, it isnt as safe as they claim. it's just another way to make people feel good about themselves (look at me! i'm different! your way sucks!).

He's not mixing in leet speak; the dollar sign is a jab along the lines of Microsoft = Evil Money-Hungry Corporation.

little off topic but whats the sign for kroner? jsut wondering.

i didnt think M$ was leet speak myself but i thought rookie was just typing it to err rebel more:S.

Maybe rookie didnt , or did mean the money side. Maybe he just saw it somewhere and thought it looked pretty

i always thought when people typed it as M$ they were just afraid of the devilry of a good company.

Sorta like hte Catholic Church and certain guitar chord progressions.
