we got a working edition out now that will check for updates and autoupdate it. We're improving it still :) It's great already, so expect great things!

We decided everyone will get a free 30 day trial period. Then after that it will be 5 bux a month for a serial :)

We are going to have it so only one serial will work. So we don't get scammed...

but it will have many features... more details coming later!

You say your doing this for the community and then start charging...lmfao I wouldn't pay thats for sure.
Maybe ill charge you and convince everyone else to do the same for who evers map you take unauthorised.
This is a community board and non profit making I believe.
Anyways your auto download will not be a success as most servers have some kind of anti cheat on them, get yer head round that einstein.

kiko you need to plan before you do.
May be a good app but whose gonna pay for the app. I've already come up with a plan on how to get money from ppl who wish. Most of the people out there dont have paypal. Once again selfish!! Think more of yourself than the community.

The app is only as good as how it is planned. Gotta think buisness before manufacturing lol

i wouldnt pay for it either...$5 a month to download a couple things for a game that is basically dying, especially with the new release of DoD:Source and COD2 on the way...one serial number? hell, i'd just get the serial number and then post it on here for everyone to use...

Where will this program run from? The server or remote?

can you get players ip's from remote rcon via console request? or what?

i think you must be able to becuase dmw etc must connect to the clients and ask.

tbh, if u know c++ it wudnt be that hard. If u dont know c++. u cud probably work it out. include winsock, send get ip's. get ip..s send to ip/s ask if u need any maps, send to client to go to a custom menu that shows donwlod rate, Then the client connects to custom webspace and donwloads the maps and installs them. Then either restart mohaa and connect to the server. of hook the loadfile function and reload a file in run time.

The hooking would be the hard part, If u cud find the offset for load file. Then you can hook it. If u know how to hook it, Hooking functions is easy. i just dont know how to hook a offset. If ASM you can hook ofsets but im not sure if thats the same as doing it with managed code, or even if u can without using asm. Then how wud u insert a coded function using asm and not a asm coded function. I dont know.

THe guy who made SOLId who must of hooked loadfile (his secret thing). I would love to ask him how to hook a function in a program without the programs function..yeah:S. If that solid guy talks to you, ask him for offsets. say i dont wanna cheat. and beg him for info on hooking. Ask him can u use detours?

This is built for any gaming clan/community.

and for aholes like petey... (and myself cause I might be a possible software pirater too)

The webmaster (clan leader) (community leader) goes to our site... the will register an account... on his site software he will put his serial number in. *when someone downloads the actual program too* they put in a serial number. The serial number will recognize the site's download area by passing it back to our own server, which will then direct it to they're download directory.

Not anyone who uses the program needs a serial, just the one offering the downloads.

+ If you cant save $5 bux a month you have money issues.

.maps built on a free lunch platform. If it's in demand and its not free - it wont be long before its replaced by a better more free substitute(speaking in general).

the $$$ version will turn to dust and the first free version will buy you mohaa immortality.

What i am planing really is to do both. To get money for the fileserver i would have subscribers. Subscribers get to choose which maps get added and add their own maps (through me of course) yet the program will be free for all to use.

ppl that cannot pay will just have to submit their maps and hope they are good enough.

Best way i can think of to get money to pay expenses while still delivering free software.

I may not have a full model of it yet but did plan it all. Looking at all perspectives.

ours is built so that a webmaster can have his own files... yours is just one big one.

Talking to SOLID. He completely stopped working on it though. And gave up on the project. It was simply too much work for one man.
The program works almost flawlessly. Does its suppose to do but every once in a while it doesnt work. That once in a while is what needs to be fixed for a release.

Solid and I are going to continue his project.

BUT we need some Very good coder's to all work on the bugs with us.

Kiko prepare to be demolished. :D
as your program downs not download maps that are currently on a server. While solid downloads maps as soon as you join through the server listings.

On friday I would like to have as many code worthy ppl add me to msn.
and possibly get even closer to polishing those bugs.

if i knew .net i wud of helped from the start. since the release of admin pro 1.2 beta ive been up all night every day non stop reading up on the meathods needed to biuld some v.secret things i have in mind, These meathods just happen to be the same meathods that are required to restart the file system etc to load mods on the fly.

Eventualy my aim was to have extra files that whent along with Admin pro that added extra functionality, unlike solid it wud go on the server and not remote and infect mohaa.. anyway

Reading up on it, damn hard but so interesting. some day ill get back to scripting and finish off server side planes and read that damn post on unit vectors again.
