Even though the Mac and PC version of the game are compatible, you may still be kicked for cheating.
This mostly happens on badly moderated servers. Some server admins run special programs that auto-kick possible cheaters. These programs my fail. Servers running on Linux with the latest server version will have no problems.
You should always update your Mohaa game to the newest version, and make sure you run the same maps as the server.
Make sure to disable the "Force Models" option in the mulitplayer window.
Make sure your cheats aren't still enabled by accident.
----------------------
Have you tried changing the permissions on the MOHAA folder? Select the folder in your "Applications" folder and "Get Info" ([Cmd]+ or select it from the "File" menu in Finder.
Near the bottom of the resultant dialog, you will see a tab called "Ownership & Permissions" Click on the small arrow to the l;eft of the name to open that tab and then again on the small arrow next to "Details:".
You should now see the tab expanded to show you settings details. Enusre that "Owner:" is set to 'Access: "Read & Write"'. Now click on the "Apply to enclosed items?" button at the bottom of that tab and click on OK when the warning dialog come up asking you to confirm the change in permissions.
This should now change the ownership, allowing you to make changes to your "main" folder.
Be advised, though, that not all mods will work on the Mac ? I know from many years of painful experience
make sure you have this patch
