Is there any chance you could supply me with your scripts prior to the demo release date? Let me explain the project I'm working on and maybe you could see fit to allowing us to use your scripting:

the clan VS-UK are working on a map which will accuratly depict the Brittish assault on the Merville Battery on D Day. This was carrier out by the 9th Parachute Regiment, the company that VS-UK are loosly based on. Similar to Brecourt the paras dropped in and took out the 4 battery encasements overlooking the the British beach landing site. The actual battery is very different to Brecourt however so I don't think the maps would be that similar.

The map is being created by Kingmarzo, a VS-UK clan member you may have heard of (St. Lo, St. Renan, The Abbey, ...)


I am working on the scripting for the map which will inclued a parachute jump. I have worked out the basics which I believe will work however it looks like you have produced a much more advanced and evolved script than I had envisiaged. I would be very grateful if I could use that. My intention (Which Wilson has already posted here) was to have spawn points way up in the air with a trigger below the spawn points, at the time of triggering I was then going to attach a parachute to the player.

Obviously I would ensure that our map wasn't released before BOB and that suitable acknowledgment was given to the authors

I have now returned to working on my multiplayer parachute spawns.

Now that I have figured out how to target just allied players, and force a player to the door of the jump craft, I can now get an allied player, to jump out of plane, spawn script him into a scaled down parachute via a trigger and move command until he hits the ground, then chute goes away. I force player to jump so player will not block the door for other players.

I have also got players to holster weapons, but they can bring them back out during ride down to earth.

Now working on binding or attaching chute and player together to look right. This is now the big headache along with the C-47 plane looking right and circling in air, with spawn points atached inside.

thanks to jv and parts I now have a better understanding of scripting and now going all out to get this to work along with the assault glider I have created.

lol, I already made all this dude, you have to modify the parachute model because it has bones in it that orient the player wrong, and you have to modify some other files like the restrict view models. I've already gotten all this to work, just wait a week or two and you wont even need to write your own script. lol

I am to old be called dude.... :D

Yes I know, BOB mod already has working parachutes which look very good by the way.

The old saying "Good things happen to those that wait", just not good enough for myself at present time.

Just a fact of life, being an old soldier myself, soldiers hate waiting... :D
