lol, it's good to see ur both still smiling even with that kinda news :D

don't suppose any1 has 100k lying around or under their bed???
if we still make a FAT MOD as Wacko suggested, but then ID software will have noproblems in buying it as we woudn't b able 2 sell the idea 2 any1 else :(

our only possiblity then is creating our own engine!!! sounds tricky, pah i laugh at those who think that... i'll get Bjarne BZR onto it straight away... :P

maybe this is why every group of gamers haven't released their own game or interpretation of a game,

i don't suppose any1 can print money???

Well... I DO have a copy of the book "The black art of 3D game programming"... maby I should read it once more

( Honestly! Thats the name of the book! Too bad it isn't as magical as it sounds... )

But a look at Qubism engine ( http://www.planetquake.com/qbism ) is probably a better idea... or any other open source project.... check out the SourceForge site ( http://sourceforge.net/ ).

to my understanding if we use the Q3 engine to make this new game or what ever but do not sell the game... we could just ask for donations... but of course this wouldnt get us 100k... but it could be kinda like america's army... a great game (from what i hear.. i cant dl it.. wtf) and later on we could eventualy finger something out.. i dunno im just making this up as i go... im very tired... i hate school

lmao, well thanks for the reply... it was... ermmm... inspiring...

i don't really think that people will pay donations for what we may create, whether it be the best game on the market ever or just a back street alley kinda affair, people hate parting with cash!!! that's a fact

if that's the course that needs to be taken then it'll be nothing more than a mod again... I WANT MORE THAN A MOD!!!

surely there must be an easy option to all of this :?: :?: :?:

lol, every1 wants to do WebDesign, can't any1 make me an engine???

only joking :P i know that making game engines aren't as easy as it sounds, but until we really find out whether this idea is still possible, everything is on hold at the moment :(

though i'd still like to have a look at ur work for WebDesign, you must have a couple of pages we can have a nose through... ones on how to make ur own game engine would be good
