... eh.. not really... I'd be VERY supriced to find such an exelent war machine in a lake in the Norwegian mountains...
But DAMN that is a good looking ship! Thanx sumo, I was planning to make a map on a battleship at sea. It looks as you beat me to it.
( Actually, I think my girfriend is more thankful than I am

).
Is that baby a "replica" or is it "freehand" work?
DAMN that baby is a looker!
U
are releasing it as an objective map, right?
On a lake hmmmm yes I understand hehe. I just asked cos I had mappers block, just couldnt seam to go forward with it. It's so big, just 25% smaller than the real thing. Its mostly a replica, I found pics on the web of it and have used them to be acurate as possible. If you wanna do a batleship there is plenty out there to do, like the bizmark for example, I didnt do the bizmark because I wanted to use a submarine as a platform for the axis attack so it needed to be an allied battleship, but now I am over my mappers block I have made lifeboats for it and it will be docked. I hope to start a thread on it soon.
Dam your map is lookin good, power to ya.

Yeah only once though im liking how this is turning out except for the fact it may be a lil smaller than i had percieved it in my minds eye.
But hey if i gonna spend this much time on something i am gonna get it right dammit
Anyhow im already rockin and rolling on a larger version and should be ready in about a week for just the terrain. Gotta couple of things im tweeking too like a new texture to help simulate large pine tree stands without creating a huge hit on fps, but soon my friends very soon!!

There is an unbelievable amount of stuff in those .pk3 files that
dont appear anywhere. Not in game or in radiant...90% of the trees
in those pics were already there i just created a new shaders
touched up a few tga's actually only one per new tree type and based
it on the winter pine models and there you have it.
[side note i finally learned what those stinkin quake comments
at the bottom of tik files are for]
It will be included in the upcoming map and if anyone wants after
this puppy is released i may be persuaded to pass along the ones i did.

Hydro on Lake Tinn
PS Keep in mind that i am a sick puppy and that grass surface isnt made of Patches or LOD terrain either. First person to guess what it is made out of wins an unlimited number of post here at .map

Dude! I noticed you added a little thing called PLAYABILITY to the map this time!

Its GREAT!
I'm not saying it done and ready, but now its really cooking man!
With a "mountainy" skybox, it will whip some visual butt.
Stuff I think you should shange (I won't bring up small things like brush errors and stuff like that) :
- The fjord should get deeper faster ( about 45 degrees or more )
- Bend the tunnel to the "Hydro" ( better VIS... and a well placed axis sniper will render it unusable to the allies )
- The stone bridge is a bit... boring? I dont know, I may be out of line here... I just found it a bit boring... just ignore me if you think I'm wrong

- You are thinking of adding some architecture in the open area in front of the "Hydro"? Right?
And all you other guys: Should we allow swimming to the ferry, or should we drown atempted swimmers in the fjord?
Posting some pics of Randoms latest funky music:
