Alright, I've gone ahead and put up a Beta Preview for you all to download. Get it here-
http://www.freewebs.com/axion9/Reichsbahn_beta.zip (9.67 Megs)
Yeah, I know that it's a large file. I'll try to reduce it for the final release. I'd love to hear feedback and any other additional comments, so please be critical and tell me what you think; I don't want to release something that sucks.

Why is it that I always have problems with stuff like this?

One problem solved- If you copy and paste the link, it'll still work. As for the transfer rate, I have no idea why it's so low.

Well, I thought I sent it, but I guess my email account won't let me attach the file because it's too big.

Okay, here's the details on what's been happening. My stupid webhost isn't givng me the bandwith that I payed for (for some reason), so that's why transfer rates are so terrible. I'm in the process of contacting them to sort this all out, so for now, don't expect blazing fast downloads from the link I posted earlier.
Shifty, however, being the kind and generous soul that he is, has hosted the map on his website for those of you who wish to check it out.
Here's the link-
http://www.shiftysbunker.pwp.blueyonder ... n_beta.zip
And while you're at it, make sure that you go and check out his map, which is coming along far more nicely than mine.
***One last shameless Plug***
And check out my website periodically from time to time, as I'll continue to add stuff there as well.

Hi mate
I finally got the chance to have a look at your map and have to say its gonna be a fantastic tdm map I like the size of it and how its layed out however some of the buildings look a little empty, but I know however that this is early and you intend to add more. I'm really looking forward to this one my Only other major gripe and its not just with your map but a few others who have done the same thing (landscape in a skybox) they allways look pixelated is there anyway to improve that or is it as good as it gets? it's really not a major issue cos when your playing your not gonna be concentrating on it much - only reason I bought it up was i plan to use something the same in the future.
Anyway keep us updated Axion I like it

Yeah, most of the buildings are sparsely decorated right now. That will soon be remedied.Shifty wrote:Hi mate

As for the landscape issue, terrain is one of my major weaknesses as a mapper. I just don't have the knack for making nice terrain (I hope to change that with practice). My landscape is not set in stone- I might just replace those flat ares with LOD terrain if I can get it to look nice.
I also have resized and converted alot of my custom textures to .jpegs today, and the .pk3 size is now around 6.5 megs. Good news, I think.

And thank you for the feedback. I don't want to be sitting all alone in the dark without knowing how I'm doing, so your opinions mean a lot.
