Alright. But I dont want the players to be able to go that way. Is there any way I can make a door that only bots can open??

of course. make a triger_multiple around the door and make it have a setthread of soemthing, let's say bot_door_thread, and give it a $targetname of $door_trig.

add this to the script

Code: Select all

bot_door_thread:

if($bot istouching $door_trig)
{
$bot_door open
}

end
this is assuming all bots have a targetname of bot... ask jv about that. you'll need the and oeprator otherwise. &&.

Thanks lizardkid :) , but if a player follows the bot, when the door opens he can quickly slip through. Is there any way to stop that from happening??

I would think putting a player clip in the door would work, will that affect actors?(Bots)

This is my code for three fans and a light switch, my light switch isnt working, I can turn it off but I cant turn it back on. Any idea why? Is my code wrong?

Code: Select all

main:

level waittill spawn

thread lightswitch1
thread fan1
thread fan2
thread fan3

end

lightswitch1:
	$light light 1 1 1 206
	$lightswitch_trigger triggerable
	$lightswitch_trigger waittill trigger
	$lightswitch_trigger nottriggerable
	$lightswitch anim turn
	$lightswitch playsound alarm_switch
	wait .5
	thread lightoff
end

lightoff:
	$light light 0 0 0 64
	$corona hide
	wait .5
	thread lightswitch2
end

lightswitch2:
	$lightswitch trigger triggerable
	$lightswitch_trigger waittill trigger
	$lightswitch_trigger nottriggerable
	$lightswitch anim off
	$lightswitch playsound alarm_switch
	wait .5
	thread lighton
end

lighton:
	$light light 1 1 1 206
	$corona show
	wait .5
	thread lightswitch1
end

fan1:
$blade1 bind $fan1
$blade2 bind $fan1
$blade3 bind $fan1
$blade4 bind $fan1
$fan1 rotatey 360 // the number indicates the speed of the fans rotation. Use -325 to rotate the fan the other way.
end

fan2:
$blade5 bind $fan2
$blade6 bind $fan2
$blade7 bind $fan2
$blade8 bind $fan2
$fan2 rotatey 360 // the number indicates the speed of the fans rotation. Use -325 to rotate the fan the other way.
end

fan3:
$blade9 bind $fan3
$blade10 bind $fan3
$blade11 bind $fan3
$blade12 bind $fan3
$fan3 rotatey 360 // the number indicates the speed of the fans rotation. Use -325 to rotate the fan the other way.
end
