Thanks alot Stratocaster!
That's why I wanted a real opinion on that subject. I watched a documentary on Al Qaeda and they portraid it that way.

But as we all know things aren't always as they are portraid on the media.

Some of these responces here are the very reason why countries can't get along. We are all products of the media, what were feed. Seem's like to me that it does good.

Before I had this opinion about Spain, now I know there was other circumstances that were left out of the main stream media.

And yes, the majority of Americans are a bunch of flag waving, media manimulated clones, IMO......oh well, were all brain washed.

And about our accent ," i dont care what i sound like cos your accent sucks:P"
What accent?

nobody can say they dont have a prob with any country. you have a prob with it if you are human. there will ALWAYS be a country with compltely different views. take Middle East for example. their culture is to put it moderately, brutal. Iraq, tortures everywhere, Iran, Afghanistan, that whole area is chock full of hate. cut off some1's hand for stealing bread for his family, stab out his eye for whatever else they feel appropriate. as you can see i dont like that area... it's not the people, it the way it's run. it's too brutal imo. too extreme. for being the "Land of God" they sure like to maim each other. not sure i want to go to heaven if it's anyhting like the Land of God...
Sorry on late responce to this but:
Having a problem with the way another county handles things does not give you the right to go in and change things.
I felt like with Japan it was justified, Vietnam, Korea and others I personaly feel like we should have let things take their course.
I mean no disrespect to all the people that died in these efforts.

Now Al Qaeda is different situation, They are an evil terrorist army that needs to be elimenated from this planet. If the world has an evil force killing innecent women and children, good should step in and destroy the evil for the good of the world.
So I guess it comes down to deciding who really is right and who's wrong. Which is decided for you by ur spawning point.

So at this point in time Bin has 22 countries on a list that helped the USA.
and is mythodicly bombing them. So your telling me if these 22 countries made a pack that we couldn't eliminate Al Qaeda?

How long will the world tolerate this crap?
Well the USA has had enough, and have the balls to stand up to them and I'm damn proud of that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol, thats the sort of arrogance i mean "we had the balls to stand up to them", "we are the greates nation" "god bless the USA"

there's a number of ways to approach this kind of thing, most of which end up with some1 complaining about them.

1. kick back, let them do their thing. imo this ends up being a WW2 scenario. Germany is smaller than Montana, you got whipped. all of Europe and parts of Africa got whipped. we get flak still for not rushing to aid. probably why we're helping other countries now.

2. do our own thing. rush in guns blazing and artillery shells flying. ok well that aint popular either apparently.

3. try to negotiate. heh, when has that EVER worked? we get flak for that too, stalling, trying to keep our aid away ppl say.

my point: people just liek to bash on America. we're the one country you can always rely on to get the flak. no matter what we do.

also m4rine, yes Americans are arrogent. (VERY general. not all) so are Brits, French, Germans, anyone who has a country is arrogent. but since arrogence=pride yes it is a fine line. it depends on how many people you piss off i suppose.

I guess the usa didn't wait long enough this time.LOL

We should wait till Al Qaeda becomes a really big problem then we could come in and save the world again

Good one lizard, but the British didn't get whipped in WW2.
But they did come to us for help.

-----------------------------
I think maybe this post should end. I thought by starting this it would reflect some good things about the usa. Bring us closer not seperate us.

No I'm not closing this thread, not yet at least... it's great to have so many different views around here :)

Anyway here is a tiny contribution of mine:

Iraq != Al Qaeda
Iraq != 11 september

I know this is obvious but somehow these things frequently get mixed up :?

I'm not sure what you mean by that JV.

i think JV was getting at the fact that Irag and Sadaam Hussein's regime did not cause September 11th, and neither are they Al Queda like terrorists. Right JV?

you have to understand JV is one of the few uber-geeks around anymore, != means ''is not equal to''. it's a fairly standard programming arithmatic symbol.

That might be the one ingredience that makes us a powerfull nation.

And waving flags beats waving AK47's.
and neither are they Al Queda like terrorists.
Saddam and Osama shared a hatred for the USA. Saddam wanted revenge for Desert storm and Osama hated the US because of the relationship for one, that Saudi arabia has with the US, and was banned from his own country. You don't think they were sleeping together?
