Well call me a liar, I just opened radiant, worked fine with the textures in there, NOW I have not changed anything, not even looked at radiant for a few days, why does it have a mind of its own ? It decides that it feels like working all on its own, I cant work it out.

ps. I just got a new mousemat, I invested ?4 instead of the usual ?1,
I think the old mat was a health hazard, a lot like my keyboard,
what a difference, I now have a lightning fast cursor, cool, an amazing difference.

Ok I got to work again, still dont know what was messing with radiant.
The only building I have worked on is the one to the right of the fountain if your looking towards the hotel. I got all three floors done pretty much, ground floor is bar and pole dancers, middle is private rooms :wink: and the top floor is executive private room and a gambling den, sounds good to me,

So I need to make all my stuff a script object for you to be able to squeeze it into your map ?

Frickin computer. I just got it working, well it came back on its own, put your new textures in last night, now radiant is freaking again, I think it shouldnt be a big problem, as your gonna drop my building into your map and I wont be doing the compiling, but still its bugging me.

I found a map in the latest Nuggets pk3, is that the latest map ?

It has new sky, a nice arch :) this is the new one yeah ?
If it is I will paste my building in there and mail the new map back to you.

I was gonna try this new texture, not sure how it will look as I cant compile right now, might look ok, nuggets you said you could animate textures, maybe I could make this sign flash, like an old neon,

lol, looks good, but possibly a little futuristic for 1944, i haven't had any problems with the textures or compiling so don't know what that's all about

Wacko did the arch and is working on the intern of the hotel, (he want's me to e-mail him in german :? but don't tell him he's crazy), i'll show you about how to, but wacko's ur man again for neon lights,

i'm still trying to work out what i should be doing, everything i map seems lame to what you 2 do, so i'll just stick with scripting and objectives, for now anyway, how dya like the beach?

i'll need some ideas for objectives for MP, so if any1 else is actually reading this thread... all invitations will be welcome

und fur mein Deutsch freund, ist das gut? :P = .:P.

for the sign, maybe you could do a compromise: use a 1940 pinup girl... wasn't used either, I suppose, but it would look nice!?

actually that'd be a great idea with a 1940's pin-up, but maybe we could use animated shader files somewhere without them looking out of place??? :?

i hope neither of you guys take offense to what i type in here, i love what ur doin :D

As I was logging on I was thinking about a pub sign, or something more relevant, maybe I should read up on 1940's whore house signs :)

I will finish off my building and post a zip with it in, I will insert into the latest version of Nuggets map that I got and also I will save out a pre fab, there may be some SH models in there, if either of you notice anything amiss delete it please.

Well the only thing left to do on my building is the texture for the sign. So who are the other buildings assigned to, I saw a new one near the beach, was that wackos ?

You should download my new file, its got the map in the maps folder called test_open_town_1, I also added my texture and added another line to Odds_and_Sods.shader.

I removed the walls I needed to, to insert my building, it fits sweet in the included .map, let me know if theres anything I doing wrong, not sure who has the latest version but you can pull my building from this one, I am starting to talk nonsense now so I will just post the link, the file will have to be renamed Nuggets, I changed it just to stop you overwriting your original.

d/loading now, i've just incorporated Wacko's hotel into the .map and just finished the assassin.scr, moving swiftly onto KOTH.scr so TheShizneaSpe can get his hands on it aswell, i did promise him some more input on it :P

files d/loading, going 2 check now :D

Jack good thinking about the renaming, it's a pain renaming the old ones so new ones can be put in, then renaming it back so it's usuable with .scr's :roll:

i've been in and back out

right a few big things, all the doors in the .pk3 i opened are sliding doors :? i couldn't get into any of the rooms, the red lights do look good, but are the chandliers right for them? that bar's great, that i like, but the planks look a little too wide... possibly change them to 0.5 rather than 1

the stair case that i'd put in 1st of all was just for access, i was thinking probably businessmen (or businesswomen) paying loads of cash in this kinda place, possibly a spiral staircase or some more elegant hand rails? with carpeted steps

the neon signs way too big :lol: it'd pull down half the front wall that size :P how'd the texture seeking go for 1940 strip clubs?

and i've had a look in radiant, there's a few doors just hanging in the middle, i don't know if i'm missing an interior wall...

all the buildings are still open for choice, 1st come 1st serve :P
the one by the beach i'll only ask one thing of, the top apex i'd like a window with a sniper position for the beach, there's still a few more buildings to come after i get this scripting lark sorted

Wacko nice work, but a couple of problems aswell, under the elevator doors, there's no texture, you can see straight into the other floors,

the piano has no clip, but makes for a good hiding place :P , the internal windows showing to outside, have no texture on them, nodraw can't be used as there's a frame on the outside,

balconies are ace, those i've gotta say i do like, but those outside doors on the left leading out to a big drop... possibly a railing or 2 on them, access to the oof is a must, we'll have to think up a way to sort out the vis for it somehow, there's too many good points about being able to get right the way around the place on the roofs,

Nuggets now my turn... HURRY UP WITH THAT ELEVATOR INTERN, :P i know, i know, i'll pull my finger out and get it sorted, any other problems you have with scripts/textures/Nuggets :lol: just give me a holla, i can take it on the chin, we're all above childhood now

1 quick question aswell... for MP there's the chance of assassinating someone or some people, (that's set up), bomb planting, (to do), KOTH, (99% done), documents steeling (piece of p*ss to do), and any others you can think of

but i'm wondering, would it be better to have
a- random objectives
b- multiple objectives
or
c- both (random mutliple objectives) :?:
