Well the last pic is a static model but to make 90 degree bends in your cylinders, hit B, then use TAB to cycle through the different bend points, bend it in the middle to 90 degrees

Remade my tube, different texture and a wider diameter tube, I like it, I have to add detail to the underground structures now then come back up to ground level for the allied spawn, its gonna be a big map, it does not take too long to get to the other side yet, hopefully I can keep it that way, framerates are fantastic
I think I am gonna have the allied spawn in a big bunker at the top of a hill , I have the pics of the big bunkers on the maginot line so I have to make one of them, with a rotating turret or two on the roof if I can pull them off.
My new tube...

I have almost finished being a mole in the ground
I came above ground to get a basic layout of the allied spawn, I am gonna add a couple of bunkers and some trenches, the frame rate ranges from about 60-85 in this open area of the map, is that acceptable ?
What kinda FPS should I be aiming for in an open area ?

yeah that's high enough, you can play well with 40 so you definitely have high enough

and that outdoor area looks great

Hmmm, the layout is finished, just detailing now
It seems pretty big, but access to all areas is quite limited so theres some bottle necks which should be amusing to fight through.
I have about 3-4 rooms and maybe 4 hallways to decorate then it should be finished.

Slasher, no worries, once its complete I will post it on my new webspace for you

paste anything you want, its all good
Happychappy, mostly in enclosed spaces you wont need lights much brighter than 100, the ones on this map range from 45 upwards, I dont think any are brighter than 150, these dull lights throw nice shadows and also check your worldspawn settings, in the file section of .map theres a worldspawn reference guide, I stole the settings from malta but I am gonna play around with these to see what else I can make.
Also when this project first started it was a hard choice betweeen summer or winter, well the outside areas are easy to texture again so maybe I can release two versions, summer and winter, I will see how it goes
