Afternoon, All.
There's nothing stopping you from starting an unofficial contest while awaiting the official rules/ etc.
How about a prefab for a bridge, for starters?
Can be stone/ wood/ brick/ etc.
Can be one arch/ multi-arch/ no arch.
Could even be a moving drawbridge.
Include a small section of map surrounding the bridge (i.e. a bit of a river if it crosses over a river, or a bit of track if it crosses a railway line, or a bit of road if it crosses a road, etc)

ya, i agree
how about the bridge thing, but just the bridge prefab? since prefabs woldn't have surroundings.
i also would like to volunteer as a judge.
a time limit could be about, oh say, a week.
could we start at a certain date and end on a certain date? how about start beginning o/ next week (May 2nd) and end a week later (may 9th)
anyone wishing to enter could pm, um, well, since i can't think of anyone else, me?
oops, dont mean to dictate rules to you guys but im eager about this.

Just a quick crazy idea, ignore if you think its stupid or impossible, but:
With this competition, you can gather parts of a map, eg. the bridge, houses, etc, and since its a competition you will always get really good stuff. now my idea is:
Put all the bits of map you collect, with consent of the mapper, and make into one large ubermap!

i was thinking about that also ,but it would cause alot of problems depending on the size of the map like fps or a wierd theme .
also with rodney's experience with combining a few maps together ,i dont think we would like to run into problems like his

hey axion ,if u are still alive ,it would be nice if u could give us a little "ping" so we know that u are alive or tell us that real life issues are getting in the way
or anything to prove ur alive.we have seen no posts from u since a very long time .
