well rodney, the competetions state that u have to start mapping after th beggining date ,and submit (either finished or not) at the deadline date .
but ur map wouldnt qualify since u said uve been working more a few years on it (right?) .so that wouldnt be fair to the others if we let ur map in the competetion

tltrude ,thats an extra cool bridge !!!!! pretty genous idea too with those boats
its because cool stuff like this that i started mapping :D

i have a suggestion instead of this anarchy in controlling the competetion,
some1 get his lazy butt moving and make a site(some1 hwo knows a little html ,or u could use templates) + a small webspace account(s) for uploading maps ,prefabs so dudges and other "viewers" could check them out and voice thier opinion

The DL which is a zip folder with pk3, .map, .pfb, and readme. Read the readme first please, it explains a couple fo things.

Good Luck to the rest too.

Actually I cant find the judges email and there seem to be problems with some so if its not to hard to DL from here that would be great. I also dont have time to send out a bunch of emails or PMs...if this is a problem let me know and Ill PM the DL to you but its right above.

pop up

Post by tltrude »

blue - When I went to your site and a pop up ad (with no close button) for a tv search thing showd up. I closed it with ctrl alt delete, but it still installed a bunch of junk on my desktop, registry, and program files folder without asking. Took me an hour to find and delete it all.

It might be that this ad was a time bomb and had nothing to do with your website. But, I had only visited .map and your site before it happened.

well, blue's got Frontpage and designed the BCDA website (which isn't operational anymore, i jsut tried it and i got the tv junk ad, but no installation) so he might be able to scrounge up some time to make a small site...

i removed the link from my sig blue, nothing should happen now. ill try your link and see if it was just my faulty sig....

EDIT: i tried your blue, it worked fine. i got a popup but nothing else happened unusually.

Hmm, it could be the service, it's pretty crappy, but I didn't see anything about 3rd party things in the EULA, well at any rate, I'm VERY sorry that this happened. I never got anything because I have my firewall and antivirus settings cranked up as high as they go.

lizardkid, I used word for it, I used frontpage at school for my project I showed you...

Again I'm sorry for the installation of crap on your computers.

There are only 10 kinds of people in this world; those who know what binary is, and those who don't.

Great I think that's everybody's. Tomorrow I think we will start judging!

btw it would have been better if you would have ziped them or pk3'd them, but that works too...
