well we depend on the middle east for about 60% of our oil.

BUT we have just as much oil under our feet over here, but our conservationist attitudes will not allow us to drill for it and it has a higher sulfer content, which will take more refining and polute the air more. So really we dont rely on the middle east but it benifits both areas for us to buy it from them. Besides if this war was about oil, than why the hell am I paying over 2 frickin dollars a gallon?

Hey M&M, I do like your take on Christianity. I feel the same way.
They got together in the 15th century and assembled thier version of the bible. Left stuff out and added things. Which in my mind makes it a man made book. Plus theres conflicting verses all through it.
Tell a christian that it says in the bible that women should have thier heads covered while in the public or church and they will say " O thats the old testament".LOL

well,prolly the moderators would have closed it down very early .at least now alot of us know more than before ,right?
i think those mods have been missing for quite sometime now !! they come here so rarely .its not a good sign when moderators abandon thier forums .

thing is, these moderators moderate every forum, so there are really no moderations happening. it's all ip to Bjarne and jv.

alot of ppl here visit these forums daily (if not more) so i think they would do a great job at moderating

Anyway as usual with 'political' threads emotions can start to play a major role in the discussions, which seems to be due to the fact that political insights or views on our world can reveil a major part of someone's personality and background. We are all a bit the same here because I think we all love mohaa to a certain extend... however .map members come from all parts of the world and from all steps of the 'social ladder'.

As a result such a discussion is much more likely to make us realize how 'different' we all are, something which is never so obvious when discussing radiant's peculiarities or compiling errors.

Anyway I think overall this thread isn't a bad one... it might produce some 'suspense' between posters but on the other hand it's beautiful to see so many different views in only 1 thread

So feel free to keep the discussions going, but try not to make this a flame war

I'll also talk with Bjarne (and the others) about adding some mods
