Alrighty, I am making a map, I have not finished enough though because one: My stupid compiler doesn't work, two: I need some help with entitys.
PM me with answers if you can.
How do I make ambient light?
Is it like
Class: ambientlight
Value: 10 10 10 ??
And I want ambient sounds.
Back to the mission details.
Allies will spawn in a barn, they can either take trenches and not get sniped or take the front. There will be a mill, river, church and houses.
I am not doing a good job explaining, huh? Well, I'll get screenies soon.

For ambientlight, select a side of the skybox, pres the N buttom, and do:
key: ambientlight
value: 10 10 10 // or whatever u want, if the count is higher it would be lighter
You can also do a suncolor:
key: suncolor
value: 60 60 60 // it cold have anykind of value, if you make the count lower, it will be darker. You can also do it like 40 60 50 you would have less red, alot of green, and blue would be between it. (you can also do that with ambientlight ofcourse)
It's also good to add this with it:
key: sunflarename
vlaue: none // just keep this "none"
If you want to set a direction of the sun in your map:
key: sundirection
value: 280 215 0 // or an other example: -50 135 0 // choose whatever you like
To add an ambient sound, add this line in your .scr:
level.script = maps/dm/(yourmapname).scr
exec global/ambient.scr m6l3a // for background sound
choose the background soundyou want by changing m6l3a.
If you want to know what kind of background sound there are, open pak0, get in the music folder and there u will see them (.mus files). If you want to know what sound they include, open them with notepad look what sound file they have linked and search for the sound in pak3.
You can also make a custom .mus file.
Write this down in notepas:
path sound/amb_stereo // path to the sound
normal Amb_M5_TownExt_2.mp3 // the sound file
!normal volume 1 // the volume
!normal loop // make a loop in the sound
Now save it as a .mus file and put it in the "music" folder.
