Forums Search problem.

Here's the issue:

I specify a Search.
The forums give me a list of topics based on my search keyword.
I find a topic I want to read about and click on it.

Everything to this point is fine.

Then I decide hit the back button to go back to my search results to find another topic to look at.
At this point, I get an IE error because it says it can't find the page. It doesn't show up in my history. All I can do is go back and re-enter my search parameters everytime I want to look at a different topic.

This is only happening on my home computer. At work, using Mozila, everything is fine.

I just recently installed XP sp2. Any windows guru's know what setting might be causing this?

Otherwise, I'll be spamming the forums with a lot of questions that have already been answered. And you don't want that :)

Thanks.

Hmm,

I just ran Adaware and it didn't help. So I reinstalled Firefox and there is no problem when I run it.

Does Firefox have 128 bit encryption? I was a bit unsure about using it for checking online bank accounts and stuff. That's why I didn't re-install it when I updated my OS. I also encounter web pages from time to time that don't format correctly with FF so I still use IE on occasions.

I get that too sometimes but I usually rightclick to open a page in a new browser window when I know I want to go back to the previous page. I hate sites like google where everything you click opens in the same window so usually I rightclick out of habit.

Well, it looks like I'm screwed anyway. For some reason Firefox vibrates whenever I browse to a new website. In other words, the website jumps up and down, but the interface doesn't move. Sometimes refreshing the page will stop it. But most of the time it won't.

That's more annoying than having to retype my search parameters. So I guess I'll have to go back to IE.
