Can anybody help me out with this one:
Lately, when I play MP, I get problems with the servers... I get like a new picture every three seconds, so I can't really move (that is the computer seems to be working very hard and so the game is veeeeeeery slow). Or I just drop out after some minutes and can't reconnect (it says that the servers are full altough they ain't)...
Is that just my connection or what?
Edit: Anybody knows where I can find all the modded MP maps (like the Co2 warehouse map) and play 'em? I'm gonna be fed up soon with the normal stalingrad-southernfrance-bridge-and-whatever maps...

actually, spyware can be a b!7<|-| to get rid of. i dont have much, but i still need to get rid of some.
if spyware is hogging your computer that badly, then you probably should reformat or start weed whacking.
some tools for weed whacking
run>msconfig-startup options get rid of anything you dont know or appears in C:\Program Files\... it's probably not yours. a lot of the stuff is in a harder-to-read format for those not used to coder naming conventions, so try to be sure you're not getting rid of anything too special.
McAfee Suite, AFAIK probably the best anti-hacker program list around. the firewall has never failed me (and trust me, it's been tried) it has excellent anti-virus capablities and they have all the data on anything new, with updates within the week to counter it
Spybot Search and Destroy - i had mine in German at first, then managed to switch it back to English

excellent program for aiding other anti-virus ones, this lists the ones it finds. i never use it much since i dont have a big problem with spyware or anything liek that.
but if you're really loaded down with $|-|!7 then the best option is to make a list of everything you need, i mean
need, such as configs and favorite saves, maybe your favorites list. then do a reformat and replace your previous things. programs (as long as you have the disks) aren't hard to replace. but this is kinda drastic, if you're not completely clogged don't do it.

I try to reformat my drive and reinstall my OS every six months. Helps keep the flys out of the system when you dowload a lot of crap then delete it and dowload more.
For a long time, I was having problems with Mohaa sticking for a few frames during gameplay on a regular basis. Virus scanners and Ad-aware were not finding anything.
But this time I timed my hard drive wipe with a hardware upgrade to take care of everything at once.

Thanks ppl!
Problem is, that it just happenes lately and not with every server and not all the time - my PC has been overflowing with spyware

for quite some time now so I'm really not sure if that's the (only) problem...
McAfee: is that free? Does it work for Win98?
I've got spybot, btw...

No McAfee is not free, but the complete suite is $60 for anti-virus, firewall, spamkiller, and a privacy service. not sure if it's sold in Europe even.

I think I tried everything to get rid of that damn spyware but, fact is, MP still doesn't work properly
I really dunno wtf's wrong with the PC as everything else works fine and smooth?!
I also wonder why it just happened recently and not on every server and not always...
Pisses me off...

it's your internet if it's not on every server. are you on dial-up? are you trying to connect to foreign servers? is the little internet cord plugged in?

Nope, it's DSL - quite fast. *Trying to connect to foreign servers*??? I don't think there are any MOH:AA MP servers in my country
Any, yep, the internet cord is of course plugged in

but, mentioning that, it wouldn't be a problem to use it on two computers? Well, that's what I'm doing, sometimes I connect the PC and sometimes the Laptop - on the Notebook MP runs smooth like silk

...
I'm really lost
