Help Needed

Post by WhiteEcko »

Okay, I've been working on a map for some time now, and only recently did I try to compile and test it. The compiling went fine, so I loaded up Spearhead to test it

I opened up the map, and it loaded for like a second, then stopped, and went straight back to the menu. I tried it again and again. And yesterday when I opened the console it said this:

Code: Select all

ERROR:func_rotatingdoor::setSolidType : SOLID_BSP entity at x-480 y-70 z76 with no bsp model
1. What the hell does that mean? I tried deleting all of the doors in my map, but that did nothing.

2. How can I jump to those coordinates to see what's causing the problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

i can't see teh picture but from what you're saying it sounds like the error goes something like this

Illegal entity: func_rotatingdoor at ( x y z ): cannot have origin brush without parent

something like that. if that's the case it means you have a door entity with only one brush, or too many of them. in MOHRad, there's a few little numbers down at the bottom that say x:000.0 y:000.0, copy down your xy coordinates from ingame and find them in the editor. chances are you'll have a leftover origin brush.

Can't get the pic to work, but here's what it says:

Code: Select all

ERROR:func_rotatingdoor::setSolidType : SOLID_BSP entity at x-480 y-70 z76 with no bsp model
I found the door that it mentioned in the coord's, but what do I do now?

delete it and remake it . Don't forget to have both the origin brush and the door brush selected when you make it a func_rotateing door

As you move the mouse over the map view in radiant: the coordinates of the pointer is written at the bottom of the radiant interface.
