weird lod terain prob

ok, so i have my file(my comp cannot save as a .tga) so i save it as a png and then change the fileneam so its a .tga. when i load it nothiong happens. when i try someone elses it works. what program can i use so i can save it as a .tga with 32 bits?

Photoshop, paintshop pro, photopaint (corel draw) etc.
But I got a free usefull image converter (build for modders), so you don't need to buy or download big paint programs or whatever,
dds converter 2,1:

The program supports DDS, TGA, JPG, BMP, PNG and PSD image formats, and you can convert the formats to each other. There is also a image preview included, so when u select an image you can see what it is without opening it. Also you can convert many different images at the same time without clicking all the time, which is very confused and irritated with other paint programs.
Very easy to use, and fast!
