1 player?

Oook, i'm new and/or stupid, so don't expect this to be a smart question..
I'm wondering about a 1 player map...how do you make enemies? I cant seem to do it, and was wondering if it's even possible..

Add any of the entities under the AI menu to your map.
If they're not working, prefix 'test_' to your map name or read
this.

Hmm...i'll have to try that.
The only map editor i've experienced is Counter-Strike. I figured they'd be the same thing, but just like the game itself it takes alot of practice to master
