How do I modify Allied Assaults original Single Player maps?

I'd like to be able to edit Allied Assaults single player maps
(More specifically, I want to finish a Co-Op mode mod that I found)
I have radiant, but that only works with .map files, not the PK3's that I find in MoHAA's main directory
Is there any programs that I can use to extract the .map files from the Pk3's?

There aren't any .map files inside the main pak files. The closest thing you'll find are the .bsp files.
A .bsp is a compiled .map file, so if you want to decompile the .bsp files into .map files, you're free to give that a try. However, all of the available decompilers will leave the .map file a mess (There will be tons of duplicate planes and brushes along with countless other errors), so you'll have to reconstruct each map by hand, which will take a considerable amount of effort, patience, and time.
I don't know what your specific modding plans are, but it might be possible to accomplish them through scripting instead (depending on what it is you're trying to do, of course).

Yes I was working on a single player map and was trying to turn it multiplayer. I simply opened the .pk3 with pakscape (do a searchin google to find it) and i decompiled the .bsp with MOHBSPTOMOHMAP (this is a program that decomompiles BSP's. I dont know how to find it....best guess would be a search in google) However this has left the map a complete and utter mess. I am still trying to figure out hot to get it to compile right lol.

There is a plugin available for radiant that will search your map for evil polys and duplicate planes (and then get rid of them). You can download it off of my mapping site:
http://webzoom.freewebs.com/axion9/plugins.zip
Just make go your MOHAATools folder and make a new folder called plugins and drop the files found inside the .zip into it. You'll then be able to use them from radiant by going to 'plugins' from the top menu bar.

you can convert single player maps to multiplayer via script.

Thanks guys.
Maybe I should be a bit more specific about what I'm trying to do.
I found this co-op modification called Team Assault. at
www.team-assault.com The maps load just fine, but whenever I try to play on any of the maps, only some of the sounds work.
That is, only the sounds of footfalls and screaming soldiers work, not any of the weapon firing or reloading sounds.

ahhh this will require some scripting. Scripting of wich I am still no good at. Best of luck to you.
