Not like it does right now... Well, I think you know what kinda door I mean... Is it possible to make one like that?
Do the screens work now?[/img]

I think everybody on these boards owe him a box of chocolate.

Sorry, I can only accept sugar-free cookies and chocolates now a days. But thanks for the kind words!
door2 tutorial map
The door2 tutorial map has around 35 doors you can study or just copy. Some of them are very different from your normal mohaa doors. The zip file contains the .map file, a playable pk3, and a text version of the script.

Oookay... I studied the map (carefully...)
That's what I managed to do:

That's alright.

I'd like to make a bigger angle..

Now that's definitly not okay. I dunno what that *** door thinks it's doing...
Anyway, here's the script for it:
main:
///////////////////
level waittill prespawn
///////////////////
blabla
thread flatdoor_mover
//////////////////
level waittill spawn
//////////////////
thread prep
thread objs
end
blabla
flatdoor_mover:
$flatdoor_trigger waittill trigger
$flatdoor time 2
$flatdoor playsound ("door_wood_open_move" + (randomint(3) + 1))
$flatdoor rotateXup 90
$flapdoor waitmove
$flatdoor playsound door_wood_open_stop
wait 20
$flatdoor playsound ("door_wood_close_move" + (randomint(1) + 1))
$flatdoor rotateXdown 90
$flatdoor waitmove
$flatdoor playsound ("door_wood_close_stop" + (randomint(2) + 1))
goto flatdoor_mover
end
What's wrong here?
Btw, Tom, thanks for the cool stuff in that door.map!!
So, here's the flowers

Sure, what did you think?! Don't you know that I'm a genius? Esp. at drawing!!! (And, fast, too)

Code: Select all
main:
flatdoor_mover:
$flatdoor_trigger waittill trigger
$flatdoor time 2
$flatdoor playsound ("door_wood_open_move" + (randomint(3) + 1))
$flatdoor rotateXup 90
$flapdoor waitmove
$flatdoor playsound door_wood_open_stop
wait 20
$flatdoor playsound ("door_wood_close_move" + (randomint(1) + 1))
$flatdoor rotateXdown 90
$flatdoor waitmove
$flatdoor playsound ("door_wood_close_stop" + (randomint(2) + 1))
goto flatdoor_mover
end
If you want the door to open at a wider angle:
$flatdoor rotateXup
90
That means the door will rotate at a 90 degree angle. Just change the number to the angle you want. Make sure you also change it for when the door rotates back down.

beautifull flowers.
do u want the door to open the other way round ?
the angle to set?

I changed it to 135 and -135 (?)...
But it starts open

. And then it makes a full 360... (and 's got about a 50 degree angle)
Sorry, Elgan, didn't see your post.
I want the door closed when I come in, I trigger it, open angle about 135 degree and after some time it closes again.
PS: Haha, yeah, I know, those flowers are full of beauty...

Nice, ay?!

Elg! No hitting on IvaN! Mj's already got a crush
I'd like to see how this works too, since i've never gotten it to work.
Wouldn't -135 make the door turn downward? wheres your origin brush?

Someone please tell me what this is all about?!

Anyway, yes, it does turn downward... You'll see where I put the origin brush when you check the pics above - the origin is okay, I think...

You used a negative number for your closing rotation angle. Try this:
$flatdoor rotateXup 135
$flatdoor rotateXdown 135
