trigger question

Can i set up a trigger that will activate with jump rather then Use? How could I do dat???

imho, u can just watch player's input use and fire, but u could use a trigger_multiple in a height which the player would reach by jumping. Did such in the springboard map, which is in the recycling bin

yea, ty. I am doing that but i was hoping to eliminate the extra step. Oh well.
my fence hops are a tele with a rock as the marker rather than the orb - I use the rock to hop over for more realistic effect, this way though you dont have to jump

but it is a lot easier to script. LOL

make the rock notsolid and make little "clip" steps

teleports are often used in conversions for getting through fences, doors that dont open, gates that dont open, walls and other barriers ... they are usually marked with a glowing orb. Run into the orb and your teleported to the otherside of the barrier.... that sort of thing. I try to avoid these on my server as we TRY to keep it real.
for doors and gates i use a trigger_use to teleport you to the other side, I put in a door close sound behind you.
for walls i spawn an upscaled boxlid on end that looks like a door... and add the trigger use tele and door sound.
for "fence hops" i call them. See a small rock by the fence and use it to hop over.... its just a teleport with a rock instead of an orb as the marker.
I used to spawn a rock and the tele trigger above it so you had to jump to it. (like you suggested) But thats alot of work especially if you are putting in like 20 or 30 barrier jumps in a map.
Now i just spawn a non solid rock as the local.trig.... its easier.
and Fungus clip stepping would be way to much work LOL.
TY for the suggestions. Ill just keep doing what im doing. Just was checking if there was a way to use Jump to trigger.
