SPAWNS

Post by neillomax »

I would like to know if, when making a multiplayer map, you set allied and axis spawns together, on both sides of the map, when the map starts, will one team spawn on one side, and the other on the opposite side.?, or will they spawn together on same side ?
Also, when one side of map gets overrun, will the spawns "switch" like they do in the regular maps, or do I have to script something ?
Or should I not even bother to try ?

First what kind of map is it going to be, obj, ff ?

If its going to be a FF just put deathmatch spawns on each side, like 10 on each side and put a playerstart spawn up in the air with a good view of the map.

Hi,
hm mohdm7 , its script doesnt care about the editorspawns, so I guess that the engine calculates this automatically.

It is my impression that the game tries to spawn you away from your opponent. I allways try putting a few escape spawns in there at the halfway point to avoid trapped spawn killing (like in Brest). "Spawn swapping" is a modification I think - and most tdm players dont like it cus its wierd!

LOL, shouting is rude!

ARE WE NOT SOLDIERS?

Should be

ARE WE NOT SOLDIERS, SIR?

:P

Anyway, back to topic now... neillomax, stock mohaa TDM maps don't have any scripting to control the spawns, so if you just spread around a few spawns you shouldn't have many problems. :)
