He's good, but he needs voice lessons. no offense, much better than i could do, for sure. The guitar work is pretty basic what guitar isnt these days?

Sounds as good as any band I ever heard before. I dont go with Lizards voice lessons thing, I dont agree with lessons for Art.
My passion is really weird techno music but I can listen to your nephew without any pain at all.
Tell him to push it, not back down and dont give up. He seriously could make it in my opinion, but hey wtf do I know

Hmmm

I have to agree with Lizardkid. He sings like he has a speech impediment. I think he is just trying too hard to sound like a superstar. It is a shame because he probably has a great natural singing voice.

Yeah, I think his voice is going through the change, as he matures it should even out. I think he's getting close to having something.

not bad... for a texan...

(ok... really good for a texan! not bad for everyone else!)
He needs a much more interesting accompanyment if he aspires to something more then 'American Idol'
Th Guitar is Basic but fine mostly, the keyboard most of the time is just plain annoying(sound and tempo, chord structure at certain points) and the drums sound like a machine more often then not.
He sounds like he has alot of talent, but to go with that kind of simple sound maybe needs to stretch the vocals a bit to create more feeling... I wouldnt listen to his music just now, but thats not really the point when your young I guess... the point would more be what you can do later?
Well put it this way... Id kill for his singing voice(or pretty much anyones =) ) but he doesnt seem to be pushing it... voice lessons... intensity... I dunno what it is... but I think maybe he needs something to move from 'pleasant' to 'dynamic' as far as a vocalist.
Then again, since he does SOUND and awful lot like how everyone else seems to try and sound(specialy when accoustic) perhaps hes right on track.... .......Course all those bands suck big time... but whatever
For some reason his voice reminds me of a higher pitched Evan Dando(Lemonheads) who was a pretty awesome vocalist in a 'soft' rock band... Higher pitched and Homogonized...
ps... Im very bored... sorry for the book. Just got off work... cant sleep...
