Slide

Something I've always wanted to base a map on---you spawn and there's a huge slide you can walk onto, and just speed down it, with turns and loops and all that...well I don't know about loops you'd probably just fall, but that's the kind of thing I want to make. I was also thinking of doing the same thing only you're on a snowboard-type brush going down...what's the best way to design the actual surface you're sliding on so that you don't fly off of it? And would you use the method of pulling the angles down by pressing v and dragging or is there an easier way? Thanks.

You would need to change the player physics, so I don't think it's possible without extensive scripting or source code changes.

actually with some trigger_pushes and the right slopes it'd be possible, that isif i'm understand trigger_pushes.

Maybe you should just move the background instead, ala that train map...
moving the player is not only hard, but rarely smooth....

Does it? This would be quite interesting.
Lizard, trigger_push just adds a certain value to the player's velocity. I'd prefer doing this with a script.

I did a map for JV's snow contest mod and I put some ice into it and some ai that bridge is really slick
