It should point out major leaks, such as a skybox leak. If you're just trying to make sure that your basic brush architecture is snug, you're going to have to do that manually on your own.

Ok. Second times a charm. Got a big red line going from one end of the map, starting in one of my player starts, through a door, zigzags around, goes through a couple of buildings, and end up in the middle of the map going through the sky box. Found one spot where sky box had a leak. recompiling now. All the other places the red line goes needs attention ?, or will it change after recompile.......?
Down to my last leak...having trouble. The red line goes through the skybox, through two walls, and right to my door trigger. deleted door and trigger a few times now. Pointfile does as above. Replaced the origin brush with a trigger. and recompiled and tested it again. Leak went away. Unfortunately, I don't get the action out of the door I want, so I have to use the origin brush, and get the bad result all over again. No matter where I put the origin, 2 feet ahead, or 2 feet behind, the red line goes right to it. Any way to beat this thing ?

pointfile
The pointfile red line just shows you where skybox leaks are. It is using the door as a starting point entity, but the important part is where the red line ends in the void outside the skybox. If it goes through a skybox brush, replace that brush or the whole skybox.
