New gametype idea?!

Hi there guys,

Today I came up with a new gametype idea, but since I don't have the best knowledge of scripting, I'm looking for someone who wants to corporate with me.

The Idea:
It's a free for all game. There will be a player, randomly selected, who will be the Assassin. Another random chosen player will be the target.
Everybody must see who are the assassin and the target, like with a sign upon their heads, or something else. Now everybody tries to kill the assassin. They player who kills him becomes the assassin then.
The target will only change when it's killed by it's assassin.



Is this possible? Because this needs to change teams, while the game continues. Because the one team is the assassin, and the others are the target and the other players.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible? and when it is possible, who wants to help producing it?

Edit:

New idea! Hold The Flag!

Each team spawns on the opposite side of the map from each other.

The object is to get the flag, which spawns in the middle of the map and hold
it for 90 seconds within your own team (can be changed...)
Doing that will give the team 1 point and the flag will respawn in it's original
position.
The first team that reach the score limit (like 5) wins.


Is this possible?

There are already Capture The Flag modes outh tere. But your first idea could actually become fun I think.

And I think it could be done with some modifications.
If you take out the points and "become assassin if you kill one" parts. ( the parts that need to know who shot who ).
And select a new assassin at random when one is killed ( same with target ).

The above should be possible if you constantly scan all players to make sure there is one assasin and one target at all times.

I can do the site, and some of the 'not too hard' coding.

But will it be very tough to make?

No! :cry: I want to give me entirely for this project. I love projects. I'm bored this holiday, so, I thought of new gametype for mohaa. I only know of myself that I'm not the best scripter of all. Therefore I Ask help. And that's what this board is for, isn't it? :roll:

Well, its not hard if you know how to script, but learning how to script may take a while. :)
I suggest you make some simple maps and try your hand at basic, and later advanced scripting to get the hang of it.
Lots of scripting tutorials here at .Map, and I've got some at http://gronnevik.se/rjukan/ as well.

Well, I kind of got the basics. But I would like someone who would corporate with em you know? Because you learn faster from someone, than from those internet pages. Now you think I'm lazy, but I learnt a lot on the internet: Cinema 4d, Adobe Photoshop, PHP, Java, Javascript, HTML and a lot more. So now I'm a little bored of internet-studying, so I'm searching for someone who wants to do this project with me, so I can learn MoH:AA scripting too. :roll:
