Creating a trigger_hurt with no scripting

Post by LeadHead »

OK... I remember reading somewhere that you could make a trigger_hurt or something like that to hurt the player, but without physically adding anything to the script file. All you needed to do was create a trigger brush in the editor and add some key/value pairs. Can anyone tell me what those key/values are or direct me to the post where they were talked about? Thanks.

You can make a trigger_hurt in a spearhead or breakthrough map, it's just a type of entity. Trigger_hurt does not work in mohaa.

Just make a trigger_multiple and add the key/value
key:volumedamage
value:5//the higher the number the more health it takes away

Thanks guys. Green Beret answered my question very nicely.

jv_map: Yea I wasn't sure how to word my question so I chose those words. I was just hoping that what I said got my point across. They did, so I am a very happy man. :D
