Please help - Mbuilder is creatin .prt file why not .bsp ???

Post by DjangoO »

Hi friends,
i was searching around for a while to solve my problem, but unfortunately i couldnt find anything related. i hope somebody can help.

i am on the way to finish my first map, now this problem it happened a few times and now i really would like to know what creates this kind ofproblem.

my mbuilder is creating no bsp anymore, instead it is creating a .prt file

first i thought it could be this mistake: Exceeded numvisbytes, so i deleted half of my map again and funny enough it worked. i kept on working with this map, but now same problem again, no .bsp file gets created only a .prt

maybe you could recommend a tutorial where i could read something about this error?

thanking you all for your help!

Make a log of the first stage of compiling and post the text here. We will help you find the error.

For MBuilder:

You can make seperate logs for all steps, or just the one you need. In Mbuilder, click on "change" and put the additional code lines after your compile options. The text file can have any name you wish. Be sure to use the path to your desktop, not mine.

-v > C:\Documents and Settings\tltrude\Desktop\log_bsp.txt

-v > C:\Documents and Settings\tltrude\Desktop\log_vis.txt

-final > C:\Documents and Settings\tltrude\Desktop\log_light.txt

I have them going to my desktop, so the logs can be trashed easily after looking them over. But, you can have the logs going any folder you like. Also, when using these logs, the details of the compilers will not be seen in the DOS window during the compile.
