OK, I got it. Somehow after reinstalling radiant, and for the first time after 20 installs, it now defaults to another key. Why, I don't know.
LEADHEAD.... make a brush, look at it from the side view, hit the "x" key, click on your brush on 1 side and then the other. The brush should have changed shape....hit enter, it stays that way..hit esc, it goes back to the way it was. If you do a clip, and it didn't "clip" the way you wanted, you should be able to hit the ~ key, and it would reverse itself...try it. May not be the ~ key on your machine, but this is the first time it wasn't on mine.........that was the reason for this post..........thought it automatically had a default key........................

It may have to do with a preference setting, like the 3 button mouse, or the eyeball icon. There may be something about it in the "tip of the day" sticky. What key did it change to?

Ahhh OK I see what you mean. I have just never heard it in that wording before. I do it slightly differently though (mainly because this was how I first learned how to do it). What I do is just simply hold ctrl + right click on the grid and it will place the little blue dots (just saves you the trouble of pushing x). Then when you choose which part of the brush I want to keep, I just hold shift + enter and it will keep both parts (because I had forgotten the key to push to reverse the clip), then I just manually go and delete the half that I don't want. Personally I think that its easier to do that than the way you do it, but that might be just because I have been doing it like this for years and I'm used to it.
