.Map :: MoHAA Mapping

Please don't move this post. I downloaded the codtools exe. When I tried to open it, it said it cannot find cod. I have cod2 on my machine. Do I have to also have regular cod in it to map cod2 ? Want to start mapping something new and am already stuck as I know nothing of cod mapping.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think that codtools.exe is ONLY for COD 1, not 2. Unless it specifically says something in some sort of readme file that it can be used for COD 2 mapping, I would assume that it would only be for #1. Besides, would the makers of the game really release an editing kit for a brand new game? (I would have thought that they would have waited a while.

So to answer your question, I would say that you MUST have COD 1 to use codtools.exe, and even if you did that map would not be playable on COD 2.

Yup, yer right. Made a small "map", now I have to figure out how to view it in game. Textures seem to suck for this game though.
