Are decal files (.dcl) serverside or clientside?
I mean if I were to create some custom decals for say V2. Package it up as a pk3, with all the proper naming standards, will other people be able to see the decal even though they wont have the .tga texture? Or am I only able to add decals that already came shipped with the game?
I would like to know before I take the time to make some custom decals, which in itself will be a project for me to learn how to make the alpha channels like they did in mohaa using Photoshop CS.
Thanks in advance,

Nevermind the question above, I found a nice decal to use for writing letters (pole shadow).
Anyhow I have a new question, I have tried to load it on a dedicated server and it does not work. If I run a server from the game (non dedicated) it works like a charm, and console shows it loading the .dcl file. However when I run mohaa_server.exe, no .dcl file is loaded in console. And there are no decals visible. What causes this?
I also tried running obj_team4 (bridge) which came stock with a .dcl file, and it also does not load when you run mohaa_server.exe as dedicated. Does anyone know how to get around this or how to load .dcl files with a dedicated server?
