I'd say, it's "fps 1" ("fps 0" to turn it off)

DO NOT do com_maxfps 0
that caps your total FPS at 0, rendering your game unstable.
toggle fps
switches fps on and off
com_maxfps changes the max amount of FPS you can have.

Okay thanks the toggle fps worked. LOL the first time I wen't to check the FPS for my map it was saying 20 fps at best. I had mpbuilder going at the time! I was about to kill my new graphis card untill I realised this.

Actually, doing com_maxfps 0 will do no harm. All that it does is tells the game that there is NO limit to the amount of frames that can be displayed per second. I would know, because I type this in all the time and it works, and all my friends type it in and it works.
On the other hand, "com_maxfps 1" would be a pain in the neck. It would still be possible to fix it though.

com_maxfps 0..................if you start to get Jumpy or jittery in game ( your "bot", or soldier ), turn that off and use com_maxfps 85. that will stop the extra motions you sometimes get by making 85 the maximum frames you can get.

I get 200+ regular on V2, 150 on Bridge... and about 120 on Hunt.
However, high FPS isn't really an issue. after a steadt 30 your game wont appear too much different, however higher FPS's indicate that your game is better performing, for instance a general 100 will experience the "click" phenomenon more often than a 351367248 FPS will.
however it's not a big deal.
