hits home

Post by hogleg »

Ok, i need to rant a little

This city is insaine, I take this exit everyday!
I work just on the other side of that bridge (190) last year a guy stopped his car on top and threw his girlfriend off then himself!
When you get on the highway you put yourself in battle mode.lol

Guess I could get away from the crazyness and move to a tropical island.

I feel so honored to live in a city thats in the top 10 in road rage.

Go Steelers!

I feel much better now

Driving

Post by tltrude »

I live in a small Oklahoma city (20,000 people) and the nearest interstate highway is 50 miles away--thank God. Driving on an Interstate is hard enough without someone taking a shot at you!

Cool video, Hogleg. It give a whole new meaning to the phrase "Dive defensively"!

Aaww sorry but for some reason I cant view these videos. I dont know why but since a short time I cant view videos on webpages like on putfile.com etc. I just see a little red X in the corner. It worked all fine before. I tried everything I could mind up but I can't fix it.
Does anyone got an idea what could be wrong or whatever?

Thanks =)

I had this problem with firefox, was working fine then stopped displaying videos. I hunted google, found the answer on a firefox help page. might help
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

codex

Post by tltrude »

One guys on the forum Hogleg posted said he deleted his old codex files and reinstalled the WMP codex files. So, maybe you should say "yes" when it asks if you want to reinstall a codex that you already have.

I am also having WMP video codex problems, but only on a few sites. The sound plays but the video is black. Here is an example of one that does not work for me--an embeded WMP video player.

http://www.tv.com/media_player/976/4/vi ... t_id=32412

I have version 10 of WMP and that video is version 9, so it should work. I don't use firefox because it couldn't do old java scripts right when I tested it.

i've seen that before, but never heard the story. Were they tracking some sort of drug ring? and what was that gun? made some pretty big scratches to that cruiser

what about when you download a small vid , play it on real player and the brightness looks like it's been jacked up real high and it looks like the colors are bleeding ? other videos are fine but it seems like if it was a vid for real player, it does that.

Vid

Post by tltrude »

lizardkid - It looked like they disabled the cop car's engine to me--it was smoking at the end.

PKM - I haven't seen that video problem, but then I do tend to avoid Real Player videos when possible. I hate real player because they are always trying to take over from all the other players. I did have a problem with jacked up sound volume with some downloaded WMP videos, but a new sound codex fixed that.

If you don't have it, you should download the free "VideoLAN player". It does not have all the bells and whistels of the big players, but it will play almost any video file format--even if it is damage or incomplete. Sorry, it does not do Real Video. But, it works 99% of the time when orther players fail.

I have a buddy that is a detective in Plano, he was in charge of that case.
It was Mexican's that had robbed a bank here, that was an oozie with armour piercing bullets. It disabled that cop car.

They actually got away but were caught eventually.

didn't i just seei in the papers the other day that texas (?) border guards and local troopers had to run off heavy armed mexican drug runners that may or may not have been part of the mexican army ? (officers state the runners were driving in mexican army type humvees and some wore mexican army outfits, they're not sure if was the mexican army or runners posing as soldiers)
