How would I copyright the movies and my website? I have no clue what to do about copyrighting issues and whatnot so I need some help. What is a copyright, can i just slap a copyright sign on the bottom of my website and have it be official or do I need to obtain a copyright somehow?

Well, I might be wrong, but common sense tells me that the act of creating something already gives you the copyright for it (I don't know what law has to say about it). To protect your invention in a better way you have to patent it, but I suppose you have to be of age to do that. Again, I'm no law expert, I might be very well telling total bullcrap. ;)

Usually people just put a copyright note somewhere (page footer of the website etc.) - Copyright 2006 Master-of-Fungus or something. ;)

Yes, you can say it is copyrighted, but it wont be unless you register it with the US Copyright office. Here is a website, one of many, that will do it for you for a small fee.

And, here is the US Copyright Office website.

Best thing to do is to watermark all your stuff, name and date.
If you find someone big using it you have a chance at sueing them.

U.S. Copyright Office wrote:In general, registration is voluntary. Copyright exists from the moment the work is created. You will have to register, however, if you wish to bring a lawsuit for infringement of a U.S. work. See Circular 1, Copyright Basics, section ?Copyright Registration.?
