map beginningvideo

hi

a while ago don't know the map anymore
but i saw when the map has loaded a video intro before the map starts
an flying camera over the map itself
and after that the "press fire to join the battle" appears

how do i make something like that?
can i use fraps for recording an intro
and then make some kind of script for running the video

any help will be welcome

If it was for spearhead then it has a playmovie function that will play a ROQ file . To make that you can use the quake video maker

If it was for mohaa then they used an animated texture in the loadscreen menu this is an example of a shader with animation it plays the .tga files one after the other like a movie

I don't think you need to use animMapPhase in the shader I think you can use animMap I don't know the difference though never played with it but did see it in a map I downloaded once .

i remembered the map that i was playing
it was something with a boat "ship" i thought it was "Hms Hood"
who it made i don't know but it was'nt a spearhead map or it has been
remade by someone i don't have SH..
