okay kiddies, which scripts do i need to pull for going into a mp server, opting for spectator in order to grap video without having message pop up ?

i allready use mohaa for dummies so the hud/compass/full view are taken care of.

i'm looking to move (temp) the files that will post

players readying for entry to the server
players entering the server
players picking sides
players leaving server
all text messages (ie. who shot whom, player entered text)

vipe, planned on making a short vid of gameplay in mall map by setting up cam studio or whatever to record myself while i'm in spectator but i do not want the usual text message popping up stating ''press fire to join'' and other text messages. basically i know where to look but posted this as a 'double check' in case i missed one.

OK I know that in the localization.txt is where you get rid of the "Press fire to join!" message, but whenever I delete the part that I need to and start a server, its still there. What gives?

I had the same problem as you guys and after many tries i got it working.
This localization removes the "press fire to join the battle" and it almost removes "press (e) to follow player". The last one couldn't be removed completely so i changed it to "`".

add these lines to localization.txt if they aren't in there

{ "Press fire to join the battle!" " " } 
{ "Press Use(e) to follow a player." "`" }

would you add those two lines without removing any lines at all or remove the mentioned lines and then add those ?

what you need to do is delete the second line in the localisation.txt

if it say's "press fire to join the battle" "press fire to join the battle"
just delete the second line and save it

But leave the quotes with a space between it like so> " space "
and to remove the rest of you're screen to make it more movie
just open the console and type( ui_hud 0 ) without the ()

mohaa for dummies has a pop up screen to remove the compass, hud and model view but what about the text for who got shot, who joined, who left...

Ive got a pk3 that takes out everything from the hud screen. If you want it let me know.

hmmm. I had this problem before - I can't email pk3 or zip. hot mail wont let me upload as it gets a positive check on virus. this is false positive.

hey thanks viper, i saw your thread over at TMT for this and will pull it from there. i used to have the same exact virus check problem with freakin' msn hotmail. i pm'd you at TMT.
