Gun Names

I have to do everything by scripts, because I've been modifying Allied Assault single player. This means that, if I spawn an NPC, I have to know the name of the weapon I'm giving it.
What I'm having trouble with is finding the names of all of the weapons. I've looked on the weapons files, but they always give false names.
For example...
The mp44.tik says that the MP44 is the StG 44 in the file, but to spawn a monster with that weapon, I have to type StG44 (emphasis on the lack of a space between StG and 44).
The ppsh_smg.tik says the PPSh is named PPSH SMG, but I have to type only PPSH to get an NPC to spawn with it.

How do I find the names of all of the weapons in AA, SH and BT so that I can use those names in scripts? I can't find names for most of the weapons, especially the Mosin Nagant.
Could someone give me a list of the (script-compatible) names of all of the weapons?

Look in m6l3a lots of examples in there like

self gun "Mauser KAR 98K"

note the quotation marks also have a look at the global/weapon.scr in either mohaa or SH and I assume BT has one too . This is part of the one from SH

case "mauser kar 98k":
