A site feedback/suggestion

Post by tltrude »

One thing that has always bothered me is the "Mark all forums read" button location. Its location at the bottom left is probably logical, but the "Mark all topics read" buttons are at the top right in all the forums and the difference between the two drives me nuts.

Another problem is that the forums will sometimes loose their "not read" marks all by themselves. It is usually caused by leaving the site and returning, but occationally happens when the "MoHAA Mapping Forum Index" button is used.

As long as I'm Knitpicking, I also hate how the "font colour" selector will not let you use the same color twice in a row. You have to select a different color and then change the color name in the text.

i can only do so much with what jv has given me tl; i constantly beg and bet jv to let me create custom css (cascading style sheets) for this site but he always seems to be more caught up in sky's the limit 4. moving the links to ''mark topics read'' & ''mark forums read'' is up to jv and possible. the other is a bug, happens at any forums/site.

It would also be nice to be able to change the theme like you can at TMT.

I have been sweating over css the last couple of weeks.

I had to make a blog for BP an oil company, they are gonna be selling formula1 racing fuel for use in your car.

I got them to buy a blog/forum/fileserver/gallery/rss reader application and I have been trying to skin the thing in the flavour they wanted. It was hard work, finally got it live tonight, although this is only a test server, now I have to migrate it to their dev server, then I have to migrate to the live server, its beginning to annoy me.

you can see the main application here: http://demotentwo.com

you can view the blog here: http://demotentwo.com/blogs/sample_weblog/default.aspx

The version im running there is the freebie version (I have bought a license for the live server, this one was just for me to learn how to use it), itsreally pretty cool. Though the support from the forums is crap, theres hardly any documentation to help guide you but im still liking it. You can check the apps homepage here: http://communityserver.org/

I got it down pretty much and it could be worth thinking about, we could all wade in and get it running and looking cute.

Also I am falling in love with css, I am really liking http://www.csszengarden.com click on the different styles, lovely :)
Philip II of Macedon sent a message to Sparta:
"If I win this war, you will be slaves forever."
The Spartan ephors sent back a one word reply: "If".

Well, whomever makes repairs, I hope they don't change the style. I've always loved the colors and simple graphics of the .MAP Mohaa site.
