terrain

hi guys man this is driving me crazy lol
when make your terrain and hit lod terrain create form brush i get the red tiangles then i hit "V" the points come up, i manipulate then hit "V" again and the point are gone then i hit textures sect one and i see the texture kinda has a white haze over it and i see the white grid lines but after that what how do i make it permanant.....................? also this mbuilder was working now when i run it the dos winow says can't find teh bsp files i am almost positiev i have this set right as i have not changed it and it was working
also the command line

i was told i could copy that out of th other options box from mbuilder and go to run navigate to where the exe." is out a space and hit ok i di that and it was woring mbuilder was loading now it will not do i have to go to this run again everytime?
