Ive seen this before - Do you get the sunflare if you start your game and go directly into your map without going into any other maps.

When I go directly to my map (at the end of the compiling)
Compile settings are:
BSP : (nothing)
VIS: -Fast
LIGHT: -Bounce 0
I compiled mohdm7.map again and there was no sunflare...

could it be a skybox/custom skybox he's using with a flare allready built in ?

If you open the bsp with notepad and look at the map detail to confirm that suflarename is none ?
maybe set suncolor and sundirection all to 0

In my burcht.bsp file: "sunflarename" "none"
So that's good

My skybox is africannight, I think that's without sunflare.
maybe set suncolor and sundirection all to 0
Doesn't work, than is the sun on the horizon. But you can still see it.

Try deleting the 'sunflare' , 'sunflarename', 'sundirection' and 'sundiffuse' keys and their values from Radiant and recompiling.
I have a map at the moment that uses the africanight sky and I don't have any of those values in radiant and I have no sunflare.
