HELP!!!please

:( Im making a map so my buddy and me can play on different maps because we r tired of playing the same maps over and over again and i made a room with a door and i got a door texture and then i added an origin on the right side of the door and then i highlighted the door and went to func,rotating door and entered it in then i put an axis and a allied spawn places and i lighted the map up with ambientlight 70 70 70 and i was done and now i wanted to test it so it would be ready to own him. but after i compiled it a dos program ran and i started the mohaa game and found my map and it loaded and when i got spawned i chose my team and weapon but when i opened my door i made it opened different it didnt open like the doors on the default maps it opened liked half it splited the door in half where i placed it when i was building it. but when the door close it gose back where i placed it at!!!

THANKS HOPE TO HEAR FROM SOMEBODY SOON!!!i would apperciate it

post a screenshot of your map with the door in the xy(top) window .

You didn't have the origin brush selected when you made it a func_rotateingdoor just delete the door and redo it and make sure you have both the origin brush and door brush selected when you make it a func_rotatingdoor .

how the hell did you understand that? i think he needs to use more full stops because i ran out of breath reading that.. he could have killed me.... you;ll be hearing from my legal team.....

Convert your screenshot to a .jpg format so it wont be big, then you can upload it for free, for example, at http://www.imageshack.us.

They will give you a direct link to your screenshot, paste this link here like this:

it opened liked half it splited the door in half where i placed it when i was building it
I think he means it rotated in the middle of the door like it does when you have no origin brush

Cool down. Here in this tut, look under rotating doors:

U need an origin, it's a rotation point for the door.
