Red Orchestra is a new ww2 multiplayer game about the Soviet Union vs Nazis in the russian front. This game is not really a new game but earlier it was a mod for Unreal 2004, now it will be released as a real game. No crosshairs, healthbar or ammo huds. Realistic usage of the weapons. 24 different kind of weapons. 14 different vehicles, drivable tanks with realistic reload times will be most functional with three players, it can also be used by one player but it will be hell slow. The enviroment is realistic (like nature, dragroll). Limited classes and more.

I've just seen the box in a game store, also an advert in a game magazine. They could use a better advertising campaign.
Anyhow, somehow I don't feel very tempted to check it out.

it doesnt look all that great tbh. I dont like it when mod teams get to big and release the mod as a game based on the engine of the game they modded. Same reason im not keen on Counter Strike, plus the fact its a boring game compered to mohaa!

i personally dont like "realistic" games. i'm a twitch shooter, if i'm not dodging making snap shots flying through the air at supersonic speeds or humiliating someone with a melee weapon i dont want to play the game. the whole point of a game in my view is to do things you cant do, and do them in excess.
so i kinda like CSS, MOH is still my favorite, but Q4 is quickly topping the list.

oh no of course not but i can sure go to russia and visit the sites and jump around, fall down, and pant like a deadbeat who just got a hit of crack, which is what most games seem to do anymore.
just not my style, MOH was good because of the dodging and accurate aim it took, i just cant stand games that restrict and limit movement and shooting to realistic principals, just too slow for my taste. i play a game for adrenaline and mind games, not as a sleep pill substitute.
i could go on but i'm becoming repetative. fast.
