16,000 bullets a second by an unmaned weapon. Run Will Robinson run! Reminds me of an episode of the Next generation where a planet had been abandoned and all that was there was robotic weapons.

I might have use for it in my upcoming Ameri-Civil War II series......

"welcome to the future of digital warfare."
what i dont get is how the bullets are fed, i mean 16,000 bullets dont just appear in a gun. from the visuals it just had them stacked in the barrel, what do you do? swap barrels? muzzle-load a clip? (thats a cool idea...)
however it's still a brilliant technology.

The bullets contain their own propellant.
Just one electo-magnetic pulse weapon will make all those guns ineffective on a real world battle field against an "modern" enemy

Good point Neillo but,
At least the Ameri forces have had all equipment EMP protected since the early 80's.....
The barrels are pre-loaded, then swapped/exchanged when needed. Yes these weapons will be hard to keep fed,( what 2-3 ammo trucks for each weapon?) but, I would hate to be there when it first opens -up with full ammo load.

"16,000 bullets dont just appear in a gun"
That bit i believe was refering to the cannon version he talked briefly about.
The gun/pistol version might run out of bullets quicker then normal pistols... but its got more chance of hitting its target therefore doesn't require extra shots right?

if you aim bad with the first one, the two that follow right after are going to miss just as baddly .

True indeed, but most soldeirs now'a'days miss due to poor gun shot rather then the fact they just missed the target. I know for a fact the british army are trianed to fire only if the enemy is 100% in the Scope/Veiw Finder etc.. So if the soldier only hits the trigger when its on the enemys head (or where ever) its down to the bullet and the recoil effect.
reload

I bet they are a pain to reload. What if it gets wet and all the bullets fire at the same time because of a short circuit? "Doctor, can you please remove this gun from my chest?"

good one tlrude; one wonders if one can safely take a bath with these new guns. you never know when terrorist may strike, even the bathroom's not safe. though in my bathroom i do occasionally host a WMD .
in other news with these new weapons...rayovac stock just went through the roof .

if it's miltary grade i'm POSITIVE they're going to make it protected from all the common mishaps that go with electronics, water, heat, cold, EMP...
i bet that's going to be something to see, a tri-barrelled bun firing three bullets into a guy's head before the recoil hits. thats incredible to me. i cant see how useful it'd be for artillery/grenades, which are meant to be less accurate for more devastation.
still no jams, no clips, that'd be great.

Combine the crew-served version with radar and one can knock-out airborne mortar/arty shells from the sky. Or, mounted on ship- can protect from missles, mount it on tank( active-armour)- protection from all.....
***Who is gonna model/mod a modern battlefield robot???Machinegun armed, remotely controlled, and with a vid-camera......that would be cool for modern maps......

there is the halo skin (forget the author) that was ripped for mohaa years ago. although the _fps.tik would have to be redone, the original skin mod had a regular arm .
re-modded
