How do I make the sun under the map, or even better how do I remove it, and will it take out a lot of the lighting (i'm really looking for this) I want a nice dark map like the night shit that went on.

take a look yonder
also take a look around for the link to the excel worksheet that has all the lighting & ambient from the default SP & MP maps. great tool to have when learning ambient lighting, farplane, sundirection...

Use a positive angle on the X axis when setting sundirection.

Eg.:
key: sundirection
value: 90 0 0
will give you a sun shining straight up from the bottom of the skybox.

And you won't lose any lighting at all, unless you were explicitly using it.

key: sunflarename
Value: none
That will get rid of the sunflare. But lowering the suncolor values and the ambientlight will make it darker.
